My Faves

Ok, so since I've been busy getting together the fall line and catching up on orders, I thought that I would share a list of random faves, if you have any similar or not-so-similar faves, please share, I love, love, love reading comments, so please de-lurk and share!

  1. Anna Maria Horner - Greek Gal (or even better 1/2 like me!) Has a daughter named ELENI! and totally rocks!  She's a fabric designer and designs a bunch of other things as well, and a mom to FIVE! I love reading her blog every day.  She seems like a real down-to-earth lady.
  2. Blood Diamond - What a great movie! We saw it this weekend, and I think I've looked up everything about the movie and this topic that I possibly could.  Yes, it's graphic and violent and somewhat disturbing, but please, rent this and see it, you will not be let down.
  3. The above-mentioned movie brings me to my new fave actor I love Leo!  What a catch ladies, if you are single and looking for a handsome, tall, smart, eco-conscious guy, Leo is your man!
  4. Which leads me to my fourth new fave Composting!  Alright, alright, maybe not the greatest fave in the world but I live in the country, there are no garbage disposals here, so this is huge.  I've done the research and hubby and I are going to start this process ASAP - any hints or tips would be cool!
  5. Obsessed with this color is an understatement.  Dennis keeps calling me "goth" hmmmm...
  6. This wine in the summertime.
  7. This Book was incredible, and it's based in Boston!
  8. Mesa Grill - if you ever have the opportunity to go, please do!  Dennis and I went and had the most incredible meal and experience, and Bobby Flay was there cooking that night! I could've died, but instead knocked over my glass filled with red wine and not only stained the tablecloth, but my new $120 sweater that I bought at Bloomingdales earlier that day, ahem.
  9. This leads me to my second NYC fave Norma's in the Meridien hotel.  You want breakfast, go to a regular greasy-spoon, you want a breakfast experience go to Norma's!  Oooh wee child, I can still recall that am like it was yesterday, but it was like 3 years ago.  Man, what an awesome trip to NYC that was: knock offs on Canal Street, celebrity run-ins, steaks and coconut cake, talking baseball in old school bars, I could go on and on, but in a nutshell a great, great trip!
  10. And last but not least, looking forward to this.  I love summer, not ready for it to be over, but the magnificent display of color around here is just breathtaking.  Hopefully I can talk the old man into taking a ride up north, and I'll share some personal pics of the event!

So now, I've decided that I need to know about some of y'all's favorites, so I am tagging two blogging peeps for their list:

Mary at Confessions of a Craft Addict

and an old work-mate turned SAHM She's Just Another Manic Mommy.

Ok ladies, the Sauvignon Blanc is calling my name.

Officially de-lurking....
Some of my fav's:
LOVE Anna Maria Horner as well. Totally rocks!
Really, love all things Greek. I am not, but one of my favorite close family friends who is like my big brother is and his mom's cooking...delish!
So, that could lead to a another fav., Greek food.
Let's see, movie wise, I am a sap and really enjoy movies based on the works of Jane Austen.
Okay on to fabrics: LOVE fabric and other than Anna Maria I also really like Amy Butler fabric and Alexander Henry.
I could go on and on with fav's, but since just commenting, I will leave it at that for now....
Thanks for sharing and have a great Thursday!

I'll be working on my list! Thanks for the tag! And I'm in total agreement about AM's blog.
