Hey ya'll, thanks to everyone on weighing in on the curtain fabric choices, I've yet to decide completely and I've only 8 weeks left in this pregnancy. Yeah, I am freaking out that it's HERE. NEXT. MONTH. But trust me, I am anxious to meet this little fella, and get my body back. Although....it will mean eating less ice cream, so that is kind of a bummer, but we will be into fall shortly after his arrival, so I can cover up a lot of the damage with big bulky sweaters and stuff.
I've decided that I need to do an "activity" with Chris before the new baby comes and I picked story time at our library for a number of reasons 1. it's free 2.it's close, and most importantly 3.it's air conditioned . This should be an experience I'll tell ya, I'm sure that storytime will consist of me chasing the little booger around the library while the other kids are enjoying the story...whatever. Good times.
On the sewing front, I've been busy. While most peeps are eating dogs and burgers on 7/4 I was cutting fabric. Dennis took the child to his family's annual BBQ and I stayed home alone and literally barely picked my head up from the cutting table, I was so focued on my tasks, that when the dog walked into the room I jumped and then got mad at her for "scaring" me. She just gave me a look like "get a life lady".
Oh, check out these boots:
I want them soooooo bad, that color brown, the soft suede, and the cute little tie in the back with the slouchy gathers...oooh they are at this website called,La Redoute. Ever heard of it? Yeah, me neither. I know it may be early to start thinking about boots, but I need that dangling carrot to get me through these next couple of months of heat and humidity. Oh and what do you guys think about these little booties making a comeback?
When I see these boots, I feel like I need to be wearing a huge skirt made of lace and tulle, black fishnets, cut-off lace gloves, too much blue and purple eyeliner and a cow-like gum-chewing habit. Ok peeps, I am off to bed humming, "Dress you up in my love"....
