My neighborhood is pretty tight - we do lots of little traditions for us and the kids (like well over 100 of them!) each year. We do an end of summer BBQ, a Halloween parade and this year we did a luminary light night, each house had about 10 luminaries lit up in front of it, some peeps caroled, some drank hot chocolate, we froze our rear-ends off but it was fun, a nice tradition has begun!
C-man really enjoyed it and was on a hot chocolate mission the entire time
Michael on the other hand, wanted no part of snow frolicking, merry making watching people light candle in front of their houses, my boots don't fit and it's freezing people!
oooh the ambiance.....
Well peeps, its a big night tonight, we have our traditional tenderloin and fixins' mommy gets the night off as my Mr. handles the cooking on Christmas eve.
We got a delicious cake to eat for dessert, and Chris asked me in the store if we got the cake to sing happy birthday, and as I began to answer "no" I slapped myself with the strupid stick and said "yes Christopher we are singing happy birthday to Jesus."
C- is Jesus three mama. like me?
Me- No, Chris he's not three, he's very old
C- How old is he?, mommy how old is he?,(escalating) mama how old is Jesus?, mama, ma, mom? (yelling) Mommmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy? How old is JESUS! Mommmmyyyyy
M- Sweetie, I don't remember how old he is.
C- Why, why don't you know mam? Mama? Why don't you know, mommmieeeeeeeeeeee? oop mommy Michael beeped, that funny!
And there folks is how the conversation immediately changed from How old is Jesus to why farts are funny.
But seriously, there has to be a book about religious questions children ask, I need to find it and buy this book ASAP, we are well into the question asking phase and when I tell you he's relentless, man, he is RELENTLESS.
I wish you all a peaceful evening with your families and loved ones tonight and a truly blessed holiday tomorrow.
love,
Helena
